M4 Minimoto Junior Race School
Welcome to the M4 Minimoto Junior Race School
What do we do
As a company we have been specialising in racing minimotos for nearly 30years and have had a race support vehicle at the British Minimoto Championships for over 20years now. In 2004 we obtained our own indoor track and a couple of years later we started the first ever Junior race school.
The race school coaches children from 5 years old to prepare them for their start in the Fab Racing British Minimoto Championship and then continue their journey throughout their years in the series.
The sessions are run early on a Sunday morning mid-October through to March, they are purely focussed on training and riders will be doing drills, debriefs and at the end of the morning a little race
For 2024 we are introducing taster mornings, these mornings will be based on 1-1 training with 12 spaces available each session, there will be 4 instructors each being allocated 3 young ones and each rider will get approximately 40minutes of track time broken up into 2-3 sessions. The cost of the taster sessions will be £65 and include the use of bike and kit.
Following on from taster sessions the 4 bikes will be available on the race school mornings, these will be allocated in blocks of 3 weeks – the cost of those 3 weeks will be £210 all-inclusive, and the bike is yours for the session and not shared. At the end of those 3 weeks the bikes must be available to another newcomer and its time to get your own race bike and gear
Already got a bike – that’s great, get your application in for a space. Bikes must be suitable for training, ideally a FAB legal rookie bike otherwise please check with us, we do not allow the Chinese bikes or Baby Blata 2.5s, we also won’t allow unsuitable bikes that are too fast. Newcomers with their own bikes must sign up to a 3-week block at £120 – This is so that the rider and coach can create a bond and work on progression.

FAQS
When do we run?
Due to many racing commitments we run in the non-racing season which is October to March, Its on Sunday mornings doors open at 7am and we like to be in the briefing room by 7.30am. The track is ours until 10am
How Old do you need to be?
You can start racing at Fab from 5.5yrs so we start training from 5yrs, typically at the school riders are up to 9yrs but we have riders that are older
Do they need to have experience?
Having some experience of a bike is a massive help and may factor in a successful application. Children are all different and some progress much faster than others. A motorcycle with engine can be very intimidating if they haven’t grown up in that world already. Riding a motorcycle at such a young age is a serious thing so you need to make sure your child is ready for Minimoto even if they have never ridden one before – a child that will create jumps for their pushbike is likely to respond better than one that has barely ridden a pushbike. Quads, Motocross, Trials and even Revvis are a great way of getting prepared
Where are we?
